Kindergarten Round Up Event at Coral Springs Elementary School

Concert at Coral Springs Temple

Temple Beth Orr will hold a free concert featuring Sheldon Low at 9 p.m. Saturday, May 17. The event will feature pizza, snacks, CDs and T-shirts for sale, and proceeds will benefit the temple’s young members; raffles and prizes will also be included, and audience members will have the chance to win a guitar autographed by Low. The Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce will hold a Wake-Up Breakfast event at Marriott Heron Bay from 7:15-9 a.m. Tuesday, May 20. Toast to Our Troops Event in Coral Springs

The Republican Business Network will hold a Toast to Our Troops event at the Coral Springs Museum of Art from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21; the event will feature music, wine, cuisine, chocolate tasting and special guests. The entrance fee is $20; proceeds will go toward Fisher House, an organization that enables military family members to be close to a loved one during a hospitalization for an illness or injury. Summer Soccer Camp in Coral Springs

A Simply Soccer summer soccer camp for boys and girls ages 6-14 and ages 5-7 will take place at Mullins Park from Monday, June 9 through Friday, Aug. 15; full-day regular campers will receive their own soccer ball, swimsuit, shin guards, water bottle and lunch. The regular camp will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., the extended hours will be from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and the ages 5-7 camp will run from 9 a.m.-noon; the cost is $135 per regular session, $150 for the extended-hours session and $75 for the ages 5-7 session. Red-Hot Robots Camp in Coral Springs

A Red-Hot Robots camp for children ages 7-12 will take place at Sawgrass Springs Middle School from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 22 to Friday, June 25. Participants will experiment with different robot designs, explore differences between humans and robots and create their own robot to take home; The registration fee is $240, plus a $30 supply fee. Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band Set to Perform in Parkland

The tribute band Fleetwood Max will perform at Pine Trails Park Amphitheater at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 10. Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets; tents, pets or alcoholic beverages are not allowed within the park. Pine Trails Park Amphitheater is located at 10561 Trails End. Chabad of Parkland will hold a Mom’s Night Out event Wednesday, May 14. The event will enable mothers who attend Chabad to get together and socialize. Zoo Day Event in Parkland
A free Zoo Day event will take place at the Pine Trails Park Amphitheater from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, June 7. The event will feature an educational program from McCarthy’s Wildlife Sanctuary about Florida’s native animals, as well as the opportunity for participants to get close to these animals. Parkland Kids Camp

Parkland Kids Camp, a summer recreation program for children ages 5-11, will take place at Park Trails Elementary School and Riverglades Elementary School from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, June 16 through Friday, Aug. 8. The program will consist of sports, arts and crafts, games, special on-site activities, and field trips. Parkland Flag Football in Parkland

A Football Buddies flag football program will take place at Terramar Park from 2-3:30 p.m. Saturdays, beginning Sept. 8 and ending Nov. 8; the program will pair special needs children with volunteers called Buddies. Each player is matched with his/her own Buddy for the entire season; residents who live outside of Parkland are allowed to participate or volunteer and knowledge of flag football is not a requirement. “Road to the White House” Class in Parkland
